PAUL McCARTNEY- ONE ON ONE TOUR 2017

Paul McCartney’s One on One Tour was a tour that began in April of 2016, and ran until December of 2017.
With two stops at the Hollywood Casino Amopitheatre in Tinley Park IL, just outside of Chicago, the tour was Paul’s way of trying to be more intimate, more story related between songs- trying his best at making his show more intimate, even for large sheds and arenas.
Paul describes the title of the tour as “when I do the show, I feel like I’m kind of talking to someone like me in the audience, even though you’re at the back of the hall or arena, we try to bring the intimacy directly to you. It’s me, one-on-one, with every member of the audience”.
And it works on many levels- with Paul McCartney encompassing a massive setlist that covers everything you can imagine, and I mean EVERYTHING.
With over 39 songs total, the devoted fans, the faithful in attendance, will not leave disappointed.
This tour marks Paul McCartney’s first- ever performance as a solo artist with the iconic song “A Hard Day’s Night”, which he opens the show with, and with the photos you see here in this blog post.
Of course there’s plenty of iconic Beatles songs to pick from, with “I’ve Got a Feeling”, “We Can Work It Out”, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, and of course “Blackbird”, “Back in the USSR”, and “Helter Skelter” to name a few.
And all performed with that tried and true Paul McCartney enthusiasm, which we love and adore.
And Paul’s backing band- all badass as ever: with Rusty Anderson, Brain Ray, Paul Wickens, and of course, the one and only Abe Laboriel Jr holding down the fort on drums.
Just wanted to simply say that Paul McCartney never disappoints, and has such a humble and cool demeanor always when performing, loving the band, loving the in the moment- ness of it all.
That to me never gets old.
