The band Ten Fe’ grace our intimate stage at JBTV Music Television for a special live performance on a Saturday afternoon.
They are currently touring the states on the strength of their second release “Future Perfect, Present Tense”.
After touring their first album “Hit The Light”, Ben Moorhouse and Leo Duncan returned to London knowing something had changed. What started as a duo, evolved into a fully formed band. The results of that fruition is the release of their second album, an uplifting, gentle, crafty songmanship of an album, a lushful sound of five musicians playing in perfect harmony, honed from a year on the road, capturing lightning in a bottle, for lack of a better term.
Obviously, chemistry is key, and of course getting along as companions for a common cause.
“Future Perfect, Present Tense” is the culmination of personal struggles, and coming out the other end through taking some risks and believing in one’s self.
Splendid musicianship, splendid songwriting.
That adds up to a wonderful performance, as so happened at JBTV in Chicago, and I have to say I had the best time with these guys- through soundcheck, some intimate pose photography, through the actual performance.
I for one know without a doubt we’re going to hear a lot more from these guys in the future.
Their songwriting is that good.
