REHEARSALS AT JBTV: for STRANGE 90’S- A BENEFIT FOR JERRY BRYANT

Members of Chicago’s rock glitterati came out in force to rehearse cover tunes the day before JBTV’s big event in support of Jerry Bryant: “Strange 90’s: A Benefit to Support Jerry Bryant in his fight against Stage Four Colon Cancer”.
More than just rehearsals- this was a time to also do interviews, some pose photos with Jerry Bryant, and a chance to relax and take it all in at JBTV Music Television the day before the big event the following evening at Chicago’s very own and iconic Metro Chicago. wonderful having the chance to chat with Nathan and Matthew Leone of Madina Lake, drummer Chris Mason, who’s fronting a few of the bands throughout the night, Mary Casey, Tom Higgenson of the Plain White T’s, Walter Flakus of Stabbing Westward, along with Brittany Bindrim of I: Scintilla fame handling lead vocals for Walter, Drummer Matt Walker, who’s providing the necessary beats for Lizzy Plapinger of MS MR fame, and of Course Scott Lucas and Ryan Harding of Local H as well.
There’s more obviously for the main event at the Metro, and some of the artists had flights booked for the following day, and were going to rehearse at soundcheck at the Metro.
All of this handled for both days with by the awesome folks at Charity Bomb, a truly special non profit and fund raising partnership who truly know the words Love and Brotherhood and Commitment.
All of this coming down to two very special days revolving around Jerry Bryant of JBTV Music Television, and his ongoing fight against Stage Four Colon Cancer.
The photos here truly say it all, with much love going back to Jerry Bryant, and what he truly means to the Chicagoland music community, and to give us an opportunity to reciprocate in kind, with all he has done over the years in promoting and supporting up and coming bands, let alone one’s already established.
Have to say it was a splendid time from beginning to end, and to help contribute in some small way to document the rehearsals, let alone the main event at the Metro Chicago.
Special thanks to all the artists and bands who stopped in my studio for some pose shots with Jerry Bryant, and for being so supportive and generous with their time.
Photos of Strange 90’s from the Metro Chicago to follow soon.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the one’s from the rehearsals.
Cheers- Bobby Talamine – Chief Photographer for JBTV Music Television
