The band Quicksand performing at JBTV Music Television in Chicago. An intimate performance no less.
A celebration of their impeccable and iconic back catalog.
Yes- the set with Quicksand was short and sweet.
But it didn’t matter on the length of time on stage. Walter Schreifels, Sergio Vega and Alan Cage bring the barnstorming heat no matter what the odds, or length of set.
This set at JBTV Is a testament to their longevity and post – hardcore acumen: All enthusiasm, all smiles.
This show couldn’t have happened without the persistence of JBTV’s Music Director Greg Corner, who, as everyone knows about him, is a music fan times ten.
One of his favorite bands is without a doubt Quicksand.
Have to say it was a pleasure to meet and photograph these guys, and hang out with them for a bit.
They have a sound that is truly unmistakable, with heavy heavy riffage that continually drops like atom bombs from one song to the next.
And again: Performing live at the one and only JBTV Music Studios.
Easily one of the best events of 2017.
