Mark Panick and his band Razorhouse at the one and only JBTV Music Television in Chicago, in support of their new release “Codex Tres Lingua”, shuffling through inroads of the down and dirty taking new angles into art- punk and weirdcore, exposing the dark underbelly of the human condition.
And Mark on acoustic guitar throughout the set, something I truly didn’t expect.
Having Mark on acoustic comes off fresh and clean, understating and making you pay more attention to the lush and memorable tunes a little more,
To dig a little deeper into the meaning of this complicated soundtrack of bizzareness that’s living and walking on this mortal coil.
Mark Panick’s Razorhouse. A band to be reckoned with and to look for playing live. Somewhere. Anywhere.
They are truly that good. A full on tension worthy sound, with keen and sniping lyrics, sung with a slight sneer and divisiveness.
Razorhouse is filled out with Percussionist David Suycott, Guitarist Tommi Zender and Bassist Curtis Ruptash.
I for one can’t wait to hear these guys play again sometime soon.
Nice to have them come and play at JBTV Music Television as well on a Monday night.
