LOLLAPALOOZA 2018: DAY THREE – PART TWO
LOLLAPALOOZA 2018: DAY THREE – PART TWO
With: Carly Rae Jespen, LL Cool J, Lil Pump, Bones (UK), ARIZONA, Pale Waves, Bomba Estereo, Grace Weber, Femdot
Saturday August 4th 2018
Here’s Part Two from Saturday at Lollapalooza 2018, with Carly Rae Jespen, (nice to see her making a comeback of sorts), LL Cool J showing the young uns how it’s done with traditional rap and hip hop full boat energy and bodybuilding muscles.
Lil Pump hit the Tito’s Handmade vodka Stage- and it was awkward, to say the least. All that buildup and fanfare and presentation and hype- and – where the F is he? A little anger with bottle throwing, some 15 minutes after the fact, and he appears.
Supposedly he’s hip hop’s newest tornado, with tons of charisma.
That all may be well and true- but at a gargantuan festival such as lollapalooza, show up on time dude.
Bones (UK) from the BMI Stage: as bad ass as bad ass gets.
Love these girls, even on a remote stage such as BMI. Bones (UK) are full on rock, and know how to tear up any stage, no matter where, including Lollapalooza.
Rosie and Carmen create an undeniable image that’s worthy of your attention, all the way to the end of their set.
One of the best performance from day three at Lollapalooza.
Grace Weber, also from the BMI Stage at Lolla. She’s cool coming into Lolla with a lot of hype, both from Chance the Rapper and also Greg Kot.
Her songwriting is cool, her stage presence is ok. Left feeling I wanted more from her set.
ARIZONA: Decent set from the Bud light stage in the mid afternoon., same with Femdot, from the American Eagle Stage., a rapper who’s got credentials, and can emcee with the best of ’em.
And of course Pale Waves, also playing at the American Eagle Stage in the mid afternoon- A cool indie pop band from Manchester, led by Heather Baron – Gracie and their drummer Ciara Doran. They have a cool sophisticated vibe about them, with enchanting melodies to produce the vibe of coolness.
Now on to Day Four of Lollapalooza.
