PIGFACE: FULL EDIT / JAMES JOYCE ULYSSES VERSION
ALL THINGS PIGFACE:
FULL EDIT / JAMES JOYCE’S ULYSSES VERSION
Thalia Hall Chicago
Sat 11/30/19
So what do I mean by the title of this post in regards to all things PIGFACE?
James Joyce’s novel “Ulysses”, published in 1922, ran a total of 730 pages, which should automatically tell you- that’s a lot.
So this post with PIGFACE, from the last show of their North American tour over Thanksgiving weekend at Thalia Hall in Chicago- has over 370 or so photos in this published post: the most I’ve ever done for publishing purposes.
And it’s for good reason.
As per Martin Atkins’ instructions- my photography covered the actual performance from beginning to end, from every possible and conceivable angle, all without interfering with the actual performance.
Every time you are with this fine group of musicians and cast of characters, you want to do right by them, and have something long lasting and memorable from the actual performance.
I think I accomplished that with this post.
Still have to work on opening acts, and also soundcheck.
Those pictures will follow soon.
In the meantime, dive into this batch of photos, and feel free to share and like away.
And with that:
A major bow and tip of the hat to Martin Atkins, Danny Carey, Curse Mackey, Mary Byker, Greta Brinkman, Orville Kline, Leanne Murray, En Esch, Dirk Flanigan, Randy Blythe, Bobdog Catlin, Bradley Bills, Charles Levi, Lesley Rankine, Gaelynn Lea, Ali Jafri, Bruce Lamont, Justin Pearson, Martin King, Jesse Hunt, Roger Ebner, and of course, Chris Connelly, plus Leyla Royal, Rona Rougeheart, and support form Ania Tarnowska (I Ya Toyah).
All of this bunch of fine humans: Magical people.
Relish in all things PIGFACE.
Cheers- Bobby Talamine – Music Photographer
